Draft. This describes how the app is built today and still needs legal review before launch.

Location

Dead Drop checks your location when you open a drop, leave one, or join a spot's chat, to confirm you're there. We keep:

• Your most recent check, used only to catch faked GPS. Each new check replaces it.
• A rough area about a kilometer across, so we can tell you when something is dropped nearby. Never your exact position.

Nobody else using the app can see where you are.

What you post

Drops and chat messages are anonymous to other users. We do store which account wrote each one, so we can act on reports and remove abuse. Contact details and handles are blurred before anything is saved. Drops and messages are deleted when they expire.

Notifications

If you turn them on, we store your device's push token to send them.
